5 Students at UNH College of Engineering of Physical Sciences Awarded the Weaver Scholarship on October 21st, 2016.
Our President, Chris Bean, one of the 5 Trustees of the Weaver Scholarship, is pictured here with the 5 recipients of this years award at the UNH College of Engineering and Physical Sciences.

The William H. Weaver Memorial Scholarship was created in 1968 by friends and colleagues in the New Hampshire Good Roads Association and is presented to students who are pursuing civil engineering with an interest in highway and bridge construction and related fields. Congratulations to this years recipients, Mitchell Dutton, Katharena Racine, Dzijeme Ntumi, Lindsey Rago, and Ashley Filion!

Sam Fortier Reaches the Beach with the "Civil and Disobedient" Team in the Annual Run.
Sam Fortier, representing CLD on a team of other engineers from other firms and NHDOT named "Civil and Disobedient" succcesfully completed a relay traversing the State of NH on Sept. 16th and 17th. The group ran more than 200 miles from Bretton woods to Hampton Beach to raise funds benefitting JDRF providing research for Type 1 Diabetes. Nice work Sam!

CLD Donates $2,000 From Proceeds of the 20th Annual Golf Tournament.
CLD's 20th Annual Golf Tournament, held at Pembroke Pines Country Club in Pembroke on August 17th, once more reached the goal of securing a $2,000 donation to New Horizon's Homeless Shelter and Soup Kitchen. We offer our sincere thanks to numerous raffle donations, corporate sponsors, colleagues and friends for all the generosity and help in making this a great event. Nice work everyone!

CLD Acquires Lake Sunapee Survey
CLD is pleased to announce the acquisition of Lake Sunapee Survey, a Sunapee, NH-based firm offering professional land surveying and septic design services. The transition became effective October 1, 2015.

Lake Sunapee Survey, founded by Ray Critch, LLS in 2008, has been a preferred partner for land surveying services in the Upper Valley/Lake Sunapee region for many years, and has proven to be a very valuable resource to CLD's clients in their White River Junction / Lake Sunapee regional offices. 19th Annual Golf Tournament
For the 19th year in the row, CLD held their Annual Golf Tournament at Pembroke Pines Country Club in Pembroke. With many thanks to the generous support of sponsors, raffle donations, and players we raised $1,700 for donation to New Horizons for New Hampshire in Manchester, NH. Navy Awards Joint Venture of Casco Bay Engineering-CLD Consulting Engineers, LLC a $10 Million Dollar Contract
Joint Venture of Casco Bay Engineering-CLD Consulting Engineers LLC,* Portland, Maine, has being awarded the maximum amount of $10 Million for an indefinite-delivery / indefinite-quantity, architect-engineering contract for design and engineering services in support of utility and infrastructure projects primarily in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic Public Works Department (PWD) Maine area of responsibility (AOR). All work on this contract will be performed within the NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic PWD Maine AOR. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with eight proposals received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

CLD Welcomes Brian Vincent!
Brian Vincent graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering most recently for Nobis Engineering, Inc. Brian calls the Dartmouth-Sunapee region home where he volunteers in his spare time as a coach for youth baseball and soccer, as well as the Concord area where he has supported the Capital Region Food Program-Holiday Food Basket, Concord Boys and Girls Club, and The Friendly Kitchen. Brian is also active in ASCE-NH, having served as President in 2008-2009, as well as New Hampshire Public Works Association, ACEC-NH, ACEC-VT and New Hampshire Joint Engineering Societies.

Rick Lundborn, New Hire in our York Maine Branch Office.
Rick Lundborn, formerly of Norway Plains Associates in Rochester, NH, brings over 18 years of civil engineering experience to our York, ME office. Rick volunteers for the Rochester Economic Development Commission (REDC), currently serving as Chairman, and also serves on the Granite State Business Park TIF Advisory Board which is working with the REDC and other local Municipal Economic Development organizations to create a NH Route 16 Coalition to bring transportation related concerns of the communities from Portsmouth to Conway and along the Spaulding Turnpike corridor, to the attention of the Department of Transportation and the State Legislature.

One more time CLD has pulled together a sizable donation with the proceeds from our 18th Annual Golf Tournament. This years' donation to New Horizon's Soup Kitchen in Manchester, NH was once again $2,000 and we offer our sincere thanks to colleagues and friends for joining us on that crisp, beautiful day back on August 20th and for being so generous with the goal of helping our community.
