CLIENT'S OBJECTIVES
Design and construction of a two-mile long Riverwalk to promote economic growth, prosperity, civic pride, and development along Manchester's waterfront.

THE FACTS
CLD was actively involved in the City's Riverwalk project constructed along the Merrimack River adjacent to the Millyard, extending northerly to the Amoskeag Dam, southerly to Queen City Avenue, and westerly across the railroad bridge to Second Street. The Riverwalk assists the City of Manchester in adding value to increased tourism, commercial development, and addresses the recreational and transportation needs of its patrons.
THE RESULTS
CLD and LDR International prepared a Master Plan for a 2.1-mile Riverwalk accentuating the Downtown/Millyard area. The City has expended $2.8 million for the design and construction of the first two phases of the project. Programming and design efforts by CLD continue in conjunction with the City. The project has become a motivating force in the revitalization of Downtown Manchester.
