NH Governor and Executive Council Approve $2.1 million Contract for I-293 Exit 5
New Hampshire Governor and Executive Council approves $2.1 million engineering and design contract with CLD Consulting Engineers, Inc. of Manchester. The contract is for the planned Granite Street Interchange at Exit 5 off Interstate 293 in Manchester. The new exit design calls for new southbound off- and northbound on-ramps and replacement of the interstate bridge over Granite Street. The estimated construction cost is $30 million and construction is expected late 2003. Assisting CLD with highway design will be McFarland-Johnson, Inc. of Binghamton, NY and assisting with geotechnical engineering will be Haley & Aldrich, Inc. of Manchester. Lisa Mausolf Preservation Consultant of Reading MA and Independent Archaeological Consulting of Portsmouth will also be assisting with the environmental work associated with the project.
